Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Astrological Sign

The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the fandom. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the game's release, to trainers developing firm views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.

The Bull – Mega Heracross

Similar to a devoted Bull, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it everything, which is true Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Super Medicham

Observe this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to hear. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds very like a people-smart Gemini.

Cancer – Mega Manectric

The Crab is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a intense sign known for frequently getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the official info, Super Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to create a thundercloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.

Leo – Mega Starmie

Oh, did you assume I was going to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be much too on the nose, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Lion offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a performance, even if for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a always surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to maintain the peace, there are many Libras who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them stress even more about everyone else.

The Scorpion – Super Banette

This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores karma and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the power to predict calamities in advance? That exudes the identical energy as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure

Detached air sign Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are numerous memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
