Tottenham Considering Selling Winger Brennan Johnson.

Brennan Johnson in action
Brennan Johnson has earned 42 times with the Welsh national team after making his debut two years ago.

Tottenham Hotspur's European final match-winner Brennan Johnson is facing an unclear situation in North London amid rising Premier League interest in his services.

Sources suggest that Tottenham, while not actively looking to part with the Welsh international, are open to letting Johnson leave if they get a acceptable bid.

Crystal Palace are reportedly the club most advanced in their pursuit for Johnson, but other teams are said to be watching developments closely.

Last Campaign of Mixed Fortunes

Johnson was Spurs' leading Premier League scorer the previous campaign with eleven strikes, and etched his name in club history by scoring the decisive goal in their European final victory over United in Bilbao, ending the club's seventeen-year wait for a trophy.

However, the exit of the previous manager and arrival of Thomas Frank has resulted in Johnson playing more of a reduced role this season.

The Welsh forward, has been granted only six top-flight starts under Frank.

January Market Interest Mounts

As a result, a host of clubs have been made aware of his likely exit ahead of the winter transfer window.

Due to his limited game time and the prospect of a World Cup approaching with his national team, a transfer elsewhere from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could benefit Johnson next month.

The attacker moved to Spurs from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £47.5m in the summer of 2023 and has scored 27 goals for the club.

Key Points
